About the job

  • Work as part of the Arterio Programme PMO Team, ensuring that the South Western Railway leadership team have effective, clear and actionable updates on the status & progress of the Arterio Programme.   
  • Translate M.I from raw data into actionable insight analytics, liaising with stakeholders to ensure reports meet their needs and expectations. 
  • Produce overview reports for the wider business to ensure awareness & accountability for Programme milestone tracking & Risk Management.   
  • Support stakeholder narratives & updates with appropriately triaged and/or custom reports.  
  • Provide support in Change Requests from Working Groups through the Programme Governance hierarchy.  
  • Maintain the full Programme reporting suite within the PMO guidelines.  

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Maintain the full Programme reporting suite in-line with Programme Governance schedules.  
  • Produce ad-hoc reporting and analysis as and when required.  

Essential Knowledge/Skills/Experience

  • Proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst within Tier 1 programme / project. 
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques. 
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc), databases (SQL etc).  
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets, including advanced knowledge of Excel. 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings. 
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to manipulate and analyse raw data and present the analysis in an appropriate manner. 
  • Knowledge and understanding of project planning best practices. 
  • Strong knowledge of and experience within Project & Planning spaces.  
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to work effectively with various levels of Management & Senior Leaders. 
  • Strong interpersonal, collaborative, organisational and planning skills.

Desirable Knowledge/Skills/Experience

  • Experience with Power BI & automation of reporting from either MS Projects / Excel.  
  • Has worked within a Tier 1 Programme PMO office.

 

Working pattern

37 hours per week , Monday to Friday office hours

Please note this is a secondment/fixed term contract opportunity until 31 March 2026
