About the job

We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and self-motivated Operational Support Clerk to provide clerical and administrative support to our Drivers function across two depot locations in the Fratton/Guildford area.

This is a varied and fast-paced role that requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The successful candidate will work closely with drivers on a one-to-one basis, while also liaising with the wider Drivers team and other key stakeholders across the business.

Your main duties will include:

  • Producing regular reports accurately and on time
  • Dealing with internal and external customers in a professional manner
  • Ordering stores and processing invoices
  • Taking minutes when required
  • Carrying out general administrative duties
  • Managing the depot's delay attribution process
  • Supporting operational requirements across two depot locations

As a minimum, you will need:

  • The ability to work well under pressure
  • Sound IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Office
  • Strong organisational and methodical working skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A self-motivated and proactive approach
  • A customer-focused attitude
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy operational environment and takes pride in providing reliable, accurate and professional administrative support. Please note that an assessment tasks will form part of the selection process.

Working pattern

Working an average of 37 hours per week over 5 days 

Monday- Friday
